Accelerated Track Available

 

DISCOVERY FLIGHT

 

1 day (approx. 1 flight hour)

Experience the wonder of aviation first hand and jump-start your career on a 1-hour Discovery Flight. Take the controls and learn what it means to be a pilot. There are no prerequisites. Schedule your Discovery Flight today!

 

PRIVATE PILOT PROGRAM

Includes:

• 40 hours total flight time

• 30 hours dual flight instruction

• 10 hours solo flight time

• 10 hours ground instruction

 

3-4 months (2-3 months on accelerated track)

Your first major milestone on the path to becoming an airline pilot is getting your Private Pilot’s Licence (PPL). At this point, you’ll officially be a pilot, free to fly single-engine airplanes in good weather conditions.

Requirements:

• Total Flight Time – 40 hours

• Dual instruction – 20 hours

• Solo Flight Time – 10 hours

• Cross-Country Dual – 3 hours

• Solo Cross-Country (50 miles) – 5 hours

• Solo Long Cross-Country (150 miles)

• Towered Airport Landings

• Night Flight Training – 3 hours

• Night Cross-Country – (100 miles)

• Simulated Instrument – 3 hours

• Pass a checkride with an FAA examiner

 

INSTRUMENT RATING PROGRAM

Includes:

• 40 hours dual flight instruction

• 10 hours ground instruction

 

3-4 months (1-2 months on accelerated track)

The next step is your Instrument Rating. This allows you to fly in low visibility conditions and also introduces you to Instrument Flight Rules—the system under which all airline flights are conducted.

Requirements:

• Total PIC Cross-Country – 50 hours

• Actual or Simulated Instrument Flight Time – 40 hours

• Dual Instrument Instruction – 15 hours

• Long Cross-Country with 3 different approaches (250mi)

• Pass a checkride with an FAA examiner

TIME-BUILDING

 

3-4 months (4-6 weeks on accelerated track)

In order to complete your Commercial Pilot Program, you will need to have logged a total of 250 flight hours. Since, by this point, you will only have approximately 100 hours, you will need to build hours. Use this time to go on adventures and gain real-world experience as a pilot—it’s a blast!

 

COMMERCIAL PILOT PROGRAM

Includes:

• 20 hours dual flight instruction

• 10 hours ground instruction

 

1-2 months (4-6 weeks on accelerated track)

In order to become an airline pilot, you’ll need a Commercial Pilot’s Certificate. Put simply, this allows you to earn money as a pilot.

Requirements:

• Total Flight Time – 250 hours

• Total PIC Flight Time – 100 hours

• Total PIC Cross Country – 50 hours

• Dual Instruction – 20 hours

• Dual Instrument Instruction – 10 hours

• Dual Instruction in Complex or TAA Aircraft – 10 hours

• Dual Long Cross-Country (2 hours, 100 miles)

• Dual Long Cross-Country (2 hours, 100 miles) at night

• Checkride Prep – 3 hours

• Long Cross-Country (300 miles)

• Night VFR Flight – 5 hours

• FAA 2nd Class Medical

• Pass a checkride with an FAA examiner

 

MULTI-ENGINE ADD-ON

Includes:

• 10 hours dual flight instruction

• 5 hours ground instruction

 

1-2 months (1 month on accelerated track)

To be allowed to operate aircraft with more than one engine, you’ll need your Multi-Engine Rating. This training is built around principles unique to single-engine operations in multi-engine aircraft.

Requirements:

• Complete Flight Training with Endorsement

• Pass a checkride with an FAA examiner

CERTIFIED FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR (CFI)

Includes:

• 40 hours ground instruction

• 15 hours dual flight instruction

 

1-2 months (4-6 weeks on accelerated track)

In order to continue building flight time, the most common path is to become a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) and teach other people how to become pilots.

Requirements:

• At least 18 years old

• Commercial or ATP Certificate

• Complete FAA Flight Instructor Written Exam (70% or higher)

• Complete FAA Fundamentals of Instructing Written Exam (70% or

higher)

• Complete flight instruction and learn to fly from the right seat

• Pass a checkride with an FAA examiner

 

CERTIFIED FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR - INSTRUMENT (CFII)

Includes:

• 8 hours dual flight instruction

• 10 hours ground instruction

 

1-2 months (4-6 weeks on accelerated track)

Go beyond teaching people how to fly and gain your CFII rating so you can instruct students on instrument flying.

Requirements:

• Complete Flight Training with Endorsement

• Pass a checkride with an FAA examiner

 

MULTI-ENGINE INSTRUCTOR (MEI)

Includes:

• 8 hours dual flight instruction

• 10 hours ground instruction

 

1-2 months (4-6 weeks on accelerated track)

In order to train students how to fly multi-engine aircraft, you’ll need your MEI, which focuses on single-engine operations in multi-engine aircraft, as well as principles related to teaching.
